The nearby beaches of Withernsea and Hornsea have both been awarded a 2023 blue flag award.

The Blue Flag award is aimed at improving the quality of England’s coastline and promoting the best beaches. It is an international quality mark for beaches and if a beach has a Blue Flag flying it is the sign that you have arrived at one of the very best in the world.

They are only awarded to coastal destinations that boast the highest quality of water, facilities, safety, environmental education and management.

Withernsea and Hornsea beaches are the only two beaches in East Yorkshire to receive this award this year. Both of these beaches are popular with our visitors and we are delighted to be able to offer accommodation near two blue flag beaches this year.
